Summer Rain

The season changed and with it came the rain
Rain so fair it filled the summer air
And time was on my side and love was in her eyes
And I wondered to a fro without the slightest care

Happy were those days of the summer rain
When time was on my side and love was in her eyes

But then the fall came and with it went the rain
And all that was achieved fell like falling leaves
And in my great despair, winter filled the air
Time had turned around and love could not be found.

Why did summer end with out so much as friends?
Leaving me a lone against the winter winds.

And as the winter ends, and spring returns again
Birds are everywhere and life renews (begins) again
And as I wander to and fro my heart begins to pray
Hoping that the summer rains will come again to stay

Happy we were those days of the summer rain
When time was on my side and love was in her eyes

The season changed and with it came the rain
Rain so fair it filled the summer air
And time was on my side and love was in her eyes
And I wondered to a fro without the slightest care
